Symptoms of HIV
People show symptoms of HIV differently. Some will start showing symptoms after a month or so of being infected by the virus. Others would not get any symptoms for years.
MSF Diagnosing HIV
HIV testing can be very rapid, but the people that are infected in parts of Africa are not aware of the disease which makes it hard for the diagnosing process.
Treating HIV
Treatments now for HIV are way more successful then what they used to be before. A combination of drugs (ARVs) help fight the virus. ARVs allow people to have a longer life. Also ARVs help patients have a healthier life without their immune system shutting down.
